Being based in Lithuania Suffused Music has always looked to support all the most promising up and coming talent their country has to offer. The 32nd release on the label features the debut of Lithuanian producer 'Eugene Loner'. In the past having worked with fellow countryman 'Minou' this is Eugene Loner's debut as a solo artist. His first EP for Suffused Music is entitled 'Dreamcatcher' and it comes with four brand new original productions. It's an aptly titled release as Loner's dreamy, melodic sound is certainly well represented here. The title track sets the tone for the entire EP with its emotionally stimulating melodies and clever beats. A set of rolling bass stabs lays down a hearty foundation while the intricate drums solidify the bouncy groove. The real beauty comes once the harmonic subtleties get woven into the mix. Heartfelt key sequences, sweeping harmonics and a wavering hypnotic resonance carry the piece through a smooth and passionate journey. If you're a fan of deeply, emotional electronic music that's still got a great dance floor sense about it then there's no reason you shouldn't love all the cuts on this EP.
