Dubai's Audio Tonic visit the age old tradition of a WMC sampler with a heavy weight offering featuring Ian Pooley, Francois Dubois, Vincenzo and label stalwart Raxon. Born out of Dubai's only weekly house music radio show and event, Audio Tonic is now 8 releases deep with support on recent outings gaining support from Ray Mang, Jimpster, Cottam, Faze Action, Red Rack Em and Gerd. The labels reputation continues to grow and its commitment to modern, melodic deep house means artists are lining up to be involved. Ian Pooley takes pole for the Miami Sampler with Read My Mind - a classic slice of thumping house from a true master and pioneer of the genre. Francois Dubois, otherwise known as Funk D Void, continues the deepness with the glorious technoid melodies of Sweet Spot. A track that manages to be pacey, immersive and light at the same time is a rare commodity and Dubois absolutely nails it. Vincenzo's Yeah Yeah Yeah sees some superb keyboard work from the Poker Flat legend. Warm pads, fluttering arps, shimmering strings and some nifty filter work all combine into a slick killer. Audio Tonic man Raxon has the difficult task of following three world-renowned producers but steps up brilliantly with Dreamer. A searing Reece bassline provides a robust gut the track while filtered key flourishes pass across it and its stripped drum track. Rousing, fresh and individual, Dreamer is an epic closer to a must-check EP.
