Bottom to Top - EP

Dexter

Bosh Recordings
BOSHD085 | 2020-05-15
We are delighted once again to welcome Dexter back to Bosh. Dexter emerged from London's tech house scene, with vinyl releases on such great labels as Wiggle, Beat Code, Rescue, Uhuru Beats and also Bosh in 2005. Digital releases followed on Low Pressings, KGBeats, Household and more. Following on from last years 'Bleep Bloop', we present a collection of fresh and groovy cuts for your delight.

The EP kicks off with the original mix of 'Ain't Nobody', A rolling deep soulful techy joint. Deep, organic chords, soaring melodies and a sweet vocal combine for an uplifting, summer soaked vibe.

Next up, 'Ain't Nobody (Got Any Acid), a tracky alternative layering fresh acidic themes with dubbed up vocal treatments. Perfectly complimenting the original, this version cries out for a booming system in a sweaty basement.

On remix duties is none other than UK tech house maestro, Terry Francis. Terry has graced the decks at a number of Bosh parties over the years, so it's great to have him featured on the label. Here, Terry delivers a stripped back version of the original, using warped fx on the vocal bringing a slightly haunting edge to the table.

The EP rounds off nicely with 'Bottom To Top', a deep analogue groover. Bubbling and squelching acid tones over a solid beat with spiritual spoken word, perfectly presented.

Early support from : Tyler Stadius, Eddie Richards, Harri, Chris Udoh, Carlo Gambino, Josh Stone, Burke Fralic, Jason Ireland, Brian Busto, Lee Walls, Jonny loves House, Andy Taylor, Ed Funk, Yana Paisley, Mark Smith, Jesse Benitez, paul compson, Paul Donton, Aruba, Jay Strata, Tom Conrad, Val, Jamie Christer,

To be premiered on Housechart 1.
