Belgian DJ, producer makes a welcome return to Piston Recordings with the superb Together EP. It’s been a while since he was last here with Subocean EP back in 2018. Since then he’s been ramping up his reputation, gaining a lot of respect for his unique sound and DJ sets. It’s a pleasure to have him back and we hope to see more from him soon.

Together opens with a real nice analogue style bass accompanied by a punchy kick drum. Warm chord pads set out a groovy sequence as rhythmic percussions start to layer up. The track has a solid, dancey vibe that becomes infectious with the introduction of some cool vocals. Timely fills and sporadic flurries of melody compliment the fluid chords which modulate with ease. A top-notch slice that will not disappoint.

Body In Motion intros with a classic style kick and crispy hi hat combo. Exotic percussions come through, setting up a smooth, flowing rhythm while sweeping pads ebb and flow to the backdrop of some ultra-cool electro sounds which have been modified beautifully. Delicately poised melodic keys play a part, adding a richness with a funky twist to the groove. Beautifully crafted and delivered with the dancefloor in mind, not to be missed.

Thingz You Do 2 Me sets out with a cool slapped drum pattern which is soon taken over by a punchy kick drum and shuffling hat sequence. A funky bassline dominates with an energetic roll as chordal synth stabs light up the sound. Cool vocals add a clubby vibe before bending notes raise the level of funk to 11. Various instruments get their solo run which adds a dynamic to the track. Proper, upbeat grooves for the serious dancers out there.
