For RSR's 12th release we welcome the infinitely talented House Inspectors to the team for a collaboration EP with Random Soul. The "Electric City EP" was a year in the making and the result of a sweaty weekend in the RSR studio's in Sydney while The House Inspector's toured through and paid a visit.

The team explored various sounds and decided it was too hard to work on 1 track so they decided on 3 instead. The title track is the vocal heavy "Electric City" which boasts a deep and 'hypnotic groove' on the original. Dan delivers an amazing slice of deep soul for his rework of the vocal, with some intricate sounds and a lush flow that screams 'beach house'. Yogi & Husky then add a more edgy main room vibe on their mix, a lil something for the peak set.

"Just Jammin" slides into the realm of a hooky dubbed out houser. Fat round bass, swelling pads, plodding chords and squiggly leads is the order of the day and with lyrics like 'feel the music', this is for the deep house heads. Get Jammin!

"Front To Back" is one for the funky jackin lovers, with its chopped up rhodes, horn lines, live bass and vocal samples. This is definitely the sound of the RS & HI boys and it's going to keep the party poppin'. Dan also ad's his flavor to "Front To Back" with a throwback mix for those among us that don't mind getting back to some house roots.
