Vini Pistori joins the label for a brand new release in the Nereau Series. 'Mosquito' is a brilliant two-tracker which blends the typical South American progressive elements with a more modern approach which definitely makes the two original tracks the kind of melodic techno we keep on seeking.
The opening track, 'Galactic', is infused with sci-fi sounds and effects that lead to a slightly distorted main theme. The atmosphere becomes even more enigmatic in the break and then it goes back to the strong rhythm of the beginning.
'Mosquito', the title track, is something unique: it slowly builds a beautiful melodic mood, but as soon as the lead gets in the track the rules change... Vini Pistori surely knows how to surprise his listeners and this one is a great example of how dissonance and artistic metaphors can create a memorable piece of music.
