Avi Subban is back with a single Dead Chants with remixes by Forteba and Alex Schuroff. The original mix introduces the listener to a wild voice sample that’s been turned upside backwards. It’s eerie, experimental and haunting, but has Avi’s influence all over it. Clocking in at just over the 10min mark, you’d never know with how this track evolves. Simply sublime. It’s cool, deep and haunting. The Forteba mix ramps up the BPM a bit making it a bit more floor ready. The keys have been chopped up as well as the synth lick. This remix is a bit more electric full of blurps and sparks. The vocal sample is still prevalent throughout the track with some added Forteba goodies. Alex Schuroff’s vision makes it a bit more organic with a piano hit intro that slowly becomes the staple instrument. A wobble bass line creeps in giving it a .U.K. garage feel. The chant is still around but chopped up a bit more and used sparingly but enough to keep it a remix of the original. A nice thick pad is added in the middle to beef up this well done remix.
