Paradise Palms goes from strength to strength as it forges new paths through 2017. The dive bar and venue turned vinyl record store & label recently announced its second release in the form of a digi-single by Parisian Art-Noir experimentalists Hey Mother Death, with their third release taking the form of a dance floor oriented 12' of specially curated remixes for Record Store Day 2017. This limited pressing includes remixes by four progressive new dance artists prominent in Edinburgh & Glasgow. Glasgow's Mr TC opens the show and contributes a dark, chugging, psychotropic interpretation sure to please fans of his highly regarded EPs for Optimo Music. Paradise Palms resident guru Jacuzzi General packs a New Wave punch overdriven with dirty keyboard arpeggiators reminiscent of sleazy Parisian electronica. Mysterious newcomer Donald Dust debuts his first official remix on vinyl, following an Italo Disco & proto-House tinged 12' for young Peckham label No Bad Days. Anonymous recording artist and Rhythm Machine regular, Sweet Dieter closes with a piece appropriating broken percussion and glitching Range Rover commercials.
