Paradise Palms presents a brand new EP from Edinburgh-based musician and photographer John Bryden aka Eyes Of Others. Gloomy but with a luminous edge, Stimulus sees Bryden creating dark, chugging moods driven by an ensemble of drum machine loops and a broken Yamaha CS01 - elevated by introspective lyrics, haunting vocals and a baggy pop quality.
Counting Andrew Weatherall, Geoffrey Mugwump and Sordid Sound System amongst his fans, Bryden's track 'Like It When It's Lazy' also caught the ear of electronic pioneer Das Ding (Minimal Wave, Pinkman) who has contributed a tense and sinister 7 minute remix to the EP.
'Stimulus' is available digitally on 27th October and will be distributed by EPM. The record was mastered by Sam Smith at Green Door Studios in Glasgow.
