Swiss label Fat Wax serves up their fourth firing release in the form of a new three tracker from Lorenzo Calvio with Kompakt artist John Monkman on the remix. Lorenzo is an emerging producer, resident DJ at Stardust in Milano and has links to labels like Apparel Music and Moodmusic.

First out of the blocks is Brunando, a shadowy tune, with prying synths and sweeping filters, but also some cosmic melodies that add drama and colour. It’s a track full of wide open space so is sure to suck in the club and have it marching to its beat. John Monkman remixes it and does so with a subtle hand, layering in more twinkling keys and cosmic feels and ensuring the whole thing feels like being under a starry night sky.

The other original cut is Adios, a dark and broody tech tune that has rumbling bass and thundering claps. It’s atmospheric and foreboding and really will get the attention of anyone who listens.

This, then, is a big EP from a label that is right on point.
