Thinking About You was born as an Influence Peddlers instrumental concept. After Luis Blademaster Lopez listened to it for awhile, it evolved into a notion. During one of our earliest sessions with Singer/Songwriter Desiree, Luis suggested a direction for the instrumental. He wanted to have Desiree come up with a song that has to do with missing someone and thinking about them. Desiree acknowledged the concept, left the studio with track in hand and returned in a week with Thinking About You; complete with verses, choruses, background pieces, harmonies and numerous other subtleties and nuances. She also made a few very astute arrangement/production observations/suggestions. Luis and I STILL haven't stopped raving about how fortunate we are to have crossed paths with such a uniquely talented artist.

The Main Vocal Mix gallops with the Influence Peddlers' signature drums/perc and spacious bass. The song's dim-glow/dreamy texture is the perfect set-up for Desiree, whose urgent vocal presence fills the track with an unmistakably bright energy. The UK Vocal is a bit more grounded. It charges forth with a much trackier motion than the percussive Main Vocal, but Desiree is no less compelling. The UK drum-energy further highlights her soulful vocal.
