Label head Deep Woods welcomes in the autumn season with a new single that is about his (and 3Bridge's coincidentally) current residence, 'Brooklyn, NY'. Taking his funky house approach with his trademark techy sound, this is sure to light up a dance floor. It's also bit of a social commentary on how popular the borough has become over the past decade. Old time vocal recordings provide snippets of dialogue over floating synth lines while shuffling, pristine percussion provide lots of movement and danceability.

Detroit master Rick Wade's version takes the track into deeper territory with darker pads and atmospheres, it's almost as if you can see the borough's skyline drenched in twilight. A mysterious melody is the main backbone here against the groove. There's plenty of rhythm here to go around to get people moving but also would work in a more laid back setting.

And lastly, NYC producers Sleepy and Boo provide their take on the single by giving it a heady after hours feel, with lush stabs, crisp hats, a bottom heavy kick, and tough rhythms. They've also modeled the dialog snippets in their remix in a way which is enormously fitting: 'Brooklyn..never sleeps'. Given the amount of night life that has migrated to Brooklyn in the past few years, it's quite a true statement.

Get yourselves acquainted with 'Brooklyn, NY' with this great piece of work.
