And we're back with another premier on Formatik Records as we're proudly presenting the official label debut of one of our favorite Spaniards David Penn. His releases have been a staple in our DJ sets throughout the past months so signing him to our label was only the next logical step. So YesYesYo - here we go!
Coming on strong with the original version of the title track David Penn has got the Funk for real, combining a raw foundation based on the House that Jack built, a darn groovy organic bass lick and some bad ass rave signals for buzzing crowds. And YesYesYo, there are some oldskool HipHop and b-boy'ing references, too.
On remix duties we've got our man Tinush whos defo meant to drop another full-on artist single on Formatik later this year. But in the meantime we've sent him to the studio to rework YesYesYo - and the outcome has been a fruitful one. Paying homage to all the Bigbeat and Breaks headz introwise his remix soon turns into a slow, yet dark and well minimalistic big room burner that introduces scattered brass bits and an epic, bass heavy breakdown to all those loving their shaking sub frequencies to the max.
