Rezensionszitat Dubfire's SCI+TEC Digital Audio welcome back label regulars Alessandro Veneri, Cristiano Valentini and Giacomo Doglione aka The Dolphins, with what is possibly their finest release to date.
Since their 2008 label debut 'Chemical Youth' and 'Haze Hard', an instant smash that found the trio huge support both in the sets and charts of the Techno elite, The Dolphins have gone on to release and remix for the likes of Boxer, Opossum, Suara, Lot 49 and Toolroom. They have also found great success on Joachim Spieth's Affin imprint, featuring on five releases already in 2010.
Their last appearance on SCI+TEC was as part of the 'Formula 1' EP where their 'When I'm Wrong' track was a particular highlight and DJ favourite.
Today's double header sees The Dolphins bring the noise! 'Buffalo' sees the trio opening with battalion drum rolls as we hear the beast and beats roll. Screaming synths run to high pitch squeals as the bassline drives the track.
Next we meet the hunter in, 'Apache'. Warm percussive beats and rubbery bassline open the track and leads us to a twisted, warped siren-like synth and tight snare roll. More stripped and groovy than its predecessor, 'Apache' is still equally as potent a weapon.
