Everybody can feel the heat of summer fast approaching, and the change in temperature can be felt on the dancefloors across the globe. The latest release from Nima Gorji's Welt Recordings, Cozzy D & Live Tech Rebelz' 'Automated EP', has summer written all over it. London based DJ Cozzy D is one of City's fast rising talents. He heldhis first residency at AKA back in 2004, and now plays many of coolest parties in the city as well as promoting his own 'Just Because' in East London. On the production
front he has released on labels including Noir Music, Takt and Berwick Street and see his work remixed by the likes of Audiofly, Marcin Czubala and Stimming. Live Tech Rebelz are the exciting DJ/Producer combo from he city. Regularly playing the finest parties throughout the UK, the pair recently launched their own Uberbeat label.
Their own productions have found support from many of the biggest names. Combining on this three track EP, the trio turn in A side 'Machine, Tapes & Electronic', which is a huge modern tribal workout. Muscular drums are paired with a snarling bassline and guitar licks, whilst the spoken vocals weave in and out of the beats. 'My Lazy Eye' continues with the punch packing beats and vocal work. But this time with a more lazy but funky groove. Their Edit is a moody, dub version, using warmer beats.
