The Italian Sonia Merz, part of the Stereophonic crew, has managed to pull it off once more. Parchman Farm is packed with the melodic deep and dark elegance sound this Triest-based producer has made herself known for with tracks such as Beatz Going and No name.
What follows is the Saliva Commandos remixes which occupies a more elaborate and afro drum pattern, appearing somewhat exotic. The bass line too is more energetic. What dominates, however, is a set of pitched, percussion that sound a bit like acid on tranquilizers, calmed down and really fresh.
Linekis remix rearranges things around and takes the track intro a different sphere of deep house music. Slender wobbling bass sound supplements Linekis love for wriggling synth work into a galactic yet cordial place of sound.
