Born of Dominican and Haitian descent, WLLY P was raised uptown, in The Bronx, NY. As a child of the 90's, hip-hop, house and freestyle were the most prevalent sounds of his musical upbringing, and are the basis of his sound today. His love of early Chicago and New York house can be clearly heard in his production / vocal delivery, and he cites acts like Masters At Work, 2 Without Hats, 2 In A Room, Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden as his major influences.
