There are not a lot of active artists left, whose career began in the legendary N.Y. Paradise Garage. The "members only" club is not only known for giving "Garage House" its name, but also stars like Grace Jones, Chaka Khan, Patti Labelle and - Kraze started here.

Kraze aka. Richard Jean Laurent began songwriting and performing in 1985. In 1988 he created "I Say Shut Up" and "The Party", who became a House Music Classics even before that term existed! These songs catapulted Kraze into one of House Music�??�?�´s first bonafide stars, making him performing at venues ranging from the best clubs to Wembley Arena and the Prince of Tunesia�??�?�´s home. He reached Top 10 all over the world, but especially "The Party" is still used from George Clinton to David Bowie to political campaigns to radio themes to Coney Islands.

Nothing faded away of the magic of "The Party". Even nearly 20 years after its release. Gererations of clubbers are still dancing to this tune. And now, 2006, the classic receives a new treatment by the German House dons Milk & Sugar, Love City and French producer Julien L.

The new mixes were played already at this years�??�?�´ WMC in Miami by Deep Dish, ATFC, Steve Lawler, Eddie Amador and Seb Fontaine, just to name a few. Even Pete Tong pushed it two times on his BBC1 Radioshow. There will be more news from Kraze this summer, as he will be touring together with Milk & Sugar.
