Dublin based duo Hystereo launch their IPO Music label with a trio of house tracks that showcase their refreshingly distinctive take on the genre.
The Puis-je? EP sees Hystereo returning to their production roots, delivering three loop-driven tracks taking elements from funk, disco, house & techno. The smooth groove of title track "Puis-je" sets the tone, fusing organic bass loops and lush keys with disco drums before making way for the somewhat sweatier, insistent drive of "Bakelite". Finally, EP closer "Redolent" ups the tempo a notch and layers on the tension for a proper late-night slow-techno stomper.
Producing since 2001, Hystereo have a string of original releases and remixes to their name, including a full length album on legendary Scottish label Soma, a genre-defining remix of Digitalism on Kitsuné, and more recently a one-off release on the London-based House Of Disco label.
Having already garnered huge support from a variety of local and international DJs, this debut release on IPO gives Hystereo the perfect platform to reintroduce their sound to the world.
