Zoo Brazil & Obsession
Pastil
Our favorite Swedish producer Zoo Brazil returns to Great Stuff, this time in collaboration with the mysterious Obsession. “Pastil” builds around a warm, old school piano loop, whose funkiness is backed by a powerful sub bassline and mind-bending effects. The male vocal snippets provide the track with a hypnotizing texture.
Marco Lys’s remix is following a more laid-back approach, starting off by placing the original elements in a bed of musing sounds. He pulls the bassline back just an notch to make space for the original piano lead. The remix is pulling it’s energy from the carefully structured break downs.
Austrian wunderkind Florian Meindl infuses “Pastil” with his unique techno groove. Throwing a load of jangling percussion, a rough wobbling bassline and added string trickery into his bag of tools. Placing the original piano on top of this superb madness, makes this remix a cutting-edge tech bomb.
