Hailing from Melbourne Australia, DJ Jorj is one of Australia’s most respected and revered Dj's. He has built a reputation based on dynamic session sets in local and international clubs, events and festivals of high repute over the past 17 years. He has built a formidable reputation through his highly energetic and enthusiastically recognized performances. Abiding by a philosophy where house music has no rules, Jorj pushes the boundaries through his infectious sessions incorporating Disco, Nu Jazz, Future Soul and Latin/Afro abstract excursions mixed seamlessly with gritty house and garage. As a producer his production work is second to none; drawing from many different styles and sounds that create a delightful audio cocktail. Jorj has been remixed by the likes of Blaze, Joeski, Danny Krivit, and Knee Deep. Respected artist & labels such as, Jon Cutler, Knee Deep, ‘Little’ Louie Vega & Defected Records have also featured his work on their compilations (Defected Miami, Soul Heaven, Ministry of sound, Large music & many other’s). Well received releases on Defected Records compilation CD's, 'La Tromba', 'Brazil Horns' and his remix of 'Bakiri Ban', thrust the Melbournian into prominance as an artist from Australia. His most recent work with the iconic UK label, Defected pres. "Alumbra In The House" Compilation Cd, is likely to draw plenty of industry acclaim and the inevitable 'thumbs up' from the music lovers. Jorj is a resident at Alumbra; a club known across Australia which is rapidly gaining a wider reputation. The Melbournian's mix features 2 new productions, an energetic afro-dub titled 'Es E Zulu' along with his slamming remix of Dennis Ferrer's 'Touched The Sky', two tracks which are sure to find favour with jocks around the world.
