Last year, we started a remix project featuring Industrial Shock tracks reworked by fellow artists. We couldn’t possibly leave out Natrium by Sidephex. This track cuts straight through to the bone, with a rhythm and flow that are simply unmatched. The relentless drive keeps pushing forward, and the industrial sounds complete it perfectly.
For this edition, we’ve had the original remastered and got massive remixes by Junkie Digital, Formshift, and 100 Kilo Maarten.
In 2003, Sidephex released an album that featured the track Natrium. This track became one of 100 Kilo Maarten’s all-time favorites. He played it at many parties, where it never failed to completely blow the roof off. Maarten delivered a remix in his signature raw, distorted industrial style. Consider yourself warned — this one might just blow up the dancefloor!
Junkie Digital also played the original track at many Acid Wars parties and other hard techno events, where DJs like Pet Duo would often stop by to check out which massive track was being dropped. Junkie created a remix in that same style — hard kicks, fat edits, and the hypnotic drive we all know from the original. Dancefloor approved.
Formshift, who also played many Industrial Shock tracks back in the day, is well known for his excellent track selection, his surprising approach to production, and his genuine love for electronic music. We were so impressed by Formshift’s recent releases that we asked him to create a remix in his own unique style. The result is a surprisingly tasty electro track!
Enjoy this release, and don’t forget to share your feedback with us! Thanks for listening!
