Almost a year after his first release on Slothacid, we're welcoming Oscar N back to the label with his new So Sick EP w/ Garvin, out 26th October. After joining the Slothacid A&R team and playing a bunch of festivals like Elements on the East Coast of the US, Oscar N got back into the studio to deliver 2 great DJ functional tracks. Hailing from Philadelphia, Oscar N has been making waves in the world of Tech House and Minimal. Drawing inspiration from icons such as Michael Bibi and Patrick Topping, his productions have earned the support of heavyweights like Marco Carola, Nic Fanciulli, and Piem to name a few. Recent appearances at Amsterdam Dance Event have only solidified his rise, as he continues to establish himself as one of the scene's most exciting new talents. His ability to captivate audiences has also led to supporting sets for international acts like Dom Dolla, Chris Lake, and Mau P, marking key moments in his growing career so far. This new two-track EP of Oscar's captures an energy that's both driving and understated. The title track So Sick is a dark and groover for those dimly lit warehouses, deep and hypnotic in true Oscar N fashion. The 'B side', a collaborative effort with Garvin named Beetlepimp, leans to the funkier side of minimal house, with a hip hop feel to it, underlined by scratching and a cut up sample workout. Love, S
