Los Angeles native with a Salvadorian-Spanish background, third culture kid Tony Quijano aka Ambiwlans (Welsh for ambulance) has been a revelation for us at Slothacid when he we listened to his demos. After his 2024 release Ainsleys Mirror EP with a cheeky Sacha Robotti remix on Slothacid, his Hotline EP follows this trajectory: three techno tracks, the disco infused Hotline 01 and the hypnotic organ belter Hotline 02 on the same theme, as well as the cubby driving Marcos Lens, evoke the kind of classic Techno feel that weve been missing in the past few years.
