Fértil Club launches with peruvian artist Pawkarmayta and a transcendent dancefloor journey
Fértil Discos proudly presents the debut of its new series, Fértil Club, a bold exploration of global dance music rooted in both ancestral and futuristic sounds. Curated by DJ Nim, the inaugural release features Pawkarmayta—the project of Peruvian musician Anthony Paucarmayta—who delivers an introspective and ceremonial sonic experience.
The first single, "YLLA", blends traditional Andean elements with a deeply electronic pulse, offering a hypnotic and danceable fusion that transcends genre. It precedes the upcoming album Aramu (Serpent of the Andes), set for release on September 19. The nine-track work is composed entirely in C minor, a key often associated with altered states of consciousness, meditation, and trance.
Composed between 2019 and 2020 during the pandemic lockdown, Aramu reflects Pawkarmayta's immersion in sound healing and ambient field recordings. Through the use of healing frequencies, he invites listeners to "leave the city through the mind," reclaiming sound as refuge, portal, and medicine.
The release also includes a powerful dancefloor-ready remix by El Remolón, Fértil's label manager, offering a fresh and expansive reinterpretation of Ylla for global DJ sets.
About Pawkarmayta
Born in Cusco, Peru, Anthony Paucarmayta began his musical training in classical guitar at the Cusco School of Music and studied composition at the Peruvian National Conservatory. Since 2005, he has collected sonic landscapes from across Peru—birdsong, flowing water, forest winds, and jungle echoes—which now flourish in Aramu, his debut full-length album.
Infused with ancestral sensitivity and a distinctly Andean spirit, his music bridges ceremonial traditions with minimal and techno electronic aesthetics.
