Tash's Movement Recordings continues its 2025 release schedule by presenting the first full EP from Brazilian artist Felipe Novaes. Following his contribution to the label's recent Technical Progress compilation with the emotive "Glimpse of a Time," Felipe returns with Exoplanet, a stunning three-track collection that signals both evolution and artistic intent.
Hailing from Brazil, Felipe Novaes has steadily carved out a reputation for emotionally resonant, melodically rich productions that straddle the lines between Progressive House, Melodic House and Techno, and deep electronica. First rising to prominence with his 2019 collaboration "Prescience" alongside Andre Sobota, Felipe has since released on respected labels such as Sprout, Clubsonica Records, Univack, and Transensations—earning a loyal following from DJs and listeners drawn to his cinematic touch and refined sound design.
The EP begins with Exoplanet, a layered, atmospheric journey filled with gliding synths, warm bass textures, and interstellar sonics—perfectly capturing the EP's exploratory spirit. The second selection Motto shifts the focus to tight, percussive grooves and elastic melodic phrasing, revealing Felipe's more rhythmic and dancefloor-focused sensibilities. Finally, Somewhere Not Here closes the EP with dreamlike textures and emotional depth, carried by swirling harmonics and subtly shifting dynamics—a reflective, immersive end to a well-rounded sonic narrative.
With Exoplanet, Felipe Novaes offers his most complete artistic statement to date, solidifying his place as a thoughtful and forward-thinking producer within the global progressive scene.
