The North Quarter proudly presents Multitudes, the vibrant new single from Manchester artist Note. As the first release from his forthcoming project .the thing with feathers, this track sets the tone with a fresh, optimistic energy and Note's unmistakable soulful touch.
Built on warm textures, crisp drums, and a spirit of renewal, Multitudes captures a sense of hope that runs through the heart of the new project. 'The music in this EP is dealing with some pretty heavy stuff,' Note explains. 'I'm always looking to be as honest and truthful as I can with my art, but it was super important to me that the music wasn't too morose. I have to live with these songs - I can't just stare into the black.'
On Multitudes, chopped vocals and vibey chords flow with warmth, while subtle interruptions in the groove reflect the uncertainty beneath the surface. 'It has all the things I love,' he adds, 'but I'm still asking questions like, 'Will I recover?''
With more music to follow, Multitudes offers an emotionally open and sonically rich introduction to what promises to be Note's most compelling and personal work to date.
