Justin Neal is a DJ and producer with roots in the infamous 1990s Midwest U.S. rave scene. Now based in Portland, Oregon, Justin has made quite a splash with his debut techno releases. That includes his Summer 2024 EP “Clap Your Hands” on SubSensory, which garnered over 20K plays on Apple Music and support from the likes of Richie Hawtin and Laurent Garnier.
The “Tired of It” EP finds Justin fully in his groove with a distinctly funky, jackin’ and raw techno sound loaded with infectious rhythms, heavy kicks and classic 909 percussion. The EP’s three originals include the cheeky yet pumping title track “Tired of It,” a raw techno workout called “Ascent,” and the more introspective “Residual Drift.” Midwest techno mavens Angel Alanis and Maria Goetz round out the EP with a stripped-down DJ tool version of Tired of It.
We hope you enjoy the music!
