After closing the influential chapter of Involve Records, Regal returns with Avalanche – a powerful statement marking the launch of his brand-new imprint Backspin Records. With this inaugural release, Regal sets the tone for the label’s vision: a bold revival and reimagining of early 2000s Hardgroove Techno.

Avalanche is a high-impact club weapon, steeped in the groove-heavy DNA of techno’s golden era. Inspired by the gritty funk of labels like Primate, Theory and Pornographic and artists such as Ben Sims and Michael Burkat, the label picks up where Involve left off. While Involve redefined 90's Acid and Trance-infused techno in the 2010s, Backspin looks forward by spinning the clock back to the 2000's.
