This elliptical galaxy is one of the brightest members of the famous Virgo galaxy cluster. In the smallest amateur telescope, it is visible in the vicinity of M59 as a rounded diffuse spot. On a dark spring night, it is not difficult to find it about a degree and a half north of ρ Virgo, east of the center of the cluster.
In an amateur telescope of medium aperture (200-250 mm), first of all, its close companion - the spiral galaxy NGC 4647 with a brightness of 11.4 magnitude, visible almost face-on, attracts attention. The M 60/NGC 4647 pair is very close and is visible almost like a zero-8. In addition to M60 and NGC 4647, moderately faint (11m) compact galaxies are visible near M60 under good observational conditions (a moonless clear night away from urban light): NGC 4638 12 arc minutes east-southeast and NGC 4660 25 arc minutes southwest.
The composition Messier uses the author's analog synthesis, chords, arpeggios, confused but harmonious rhythms, ragged melodic analog rise basses, many processes of automation and effects. Enjoy, please.
With love.
