Following on from Victors inaugural entry - which saw the techno maestro return to the fold with his Roll EP, - the equally respected and highly regarded Lindau brings his ear for perfectionism to the fore, with the seasoned gear head and audiophile bringing the best out of his instruments and beats. Known from drawing out his sound on labels such as Ostgut Ton, Fachwerk and Rebalance, the German producer now steps up to lend his skills to the New York based imprint.
Lindau brings intense pressure on opening track King Disco, stripping back light nuances and subtleties for thudding kick drums, hollowed and metal like synth stabs and a sweeping, pulsing sub bass complimenting the tracks overall feel and trajectory.
Flip over and Blue Jive awaits, with a slower yet just as powerful aesthetic. Less kick drums and driving techno rhythms, but its equally made up for with saw wave sines, unsettling bass and a stepping groove thats brought out of it comfort zone into a darkened, biting room full of dark energy and sonic matter. In other words, it fits perfectly with Victors vision and another vintage slice of upfront techno from a modern bastion in the scene.
