Bulletdodge are proud to introduce Russian new-comers Brickman and Kirill Matveev to the label. Based out of St Petersburg the pair have provided us with a stellar E.P. comprising of one track they have created together with remixes from Greg Gow and Andrey Fox and two original tracks from Brickman.
The title track, Exalted B is a superb dub infused gem that will groove any dancefloor. It has a subtle sub pad that cements the rhytmn with stabs and keys in all the right places. A sure fire hit!
First to remix Exalted B is Greg Gow, who provides us with his signature tech house sound. Greg uses elements of the original to create nothing short of class. He has fused a driving bass with solid percursive programming to create a dancefloor monster.
Exalted B is then given the Andrey Fox touch, where we are presented with a more laid back, chilled out affair. Andrey conveys a ballearic feel with soothing pads, loose percussion and tranquil synth leads.
Brickman delivers the next track, Deja Vu which is nothing short of anthemic. The track starts off very mystical, with haunting chimes, pads and an eerie piano. We are then thrown into a superb breakdown that exposes euphoric chords that then develop the song further into a distinct masterpiece.
Lastly we have Velvet, another Brickman production that focuses on the dark and moody, but this time less anthemic and instead more deep perfection. The track has an array of perfectly positioned fx and stabs that create an excellent feeling of intensity.
