The camp at HD is proud to debut this 8 track album from Daniel Allen's downtempo/electronica moniker Disappear. A mix of synthetic soundscapes and earthly delights, Inequity showcases the broad understanding and musical range of the Austin, Texas native and label boss of Denied Music. We have been working with Daniel to curate this special mix of music for the last year and we hope you enjoy all the musical moments.
Selections like Lojack, Outrun, and Under the Guise of Progress pay heavy nods to blade runner soundscapes set atop of swung, syncopated drum construction. Safety Before Feelings and Syntonic Research capture the same futuristic vibe with a much more ambient tone, focusing on the soundscapes and stripped-away drum additions. Iniquity parodies the theme with a rounded Reese bass and more organic drum delivery. Rounding out the soundscape are tunes like Too Late and Like Sand that provide a much more organic appeal, weaving in acoustics and field sampling. Iniquity is a surprisingly evenly-tempered mash of musical construction that showcases the other forms of Daniel's mastery.
