As old as the hull of our ship we had a deeply wish to have an old mate back on board of our ship, but with all his goods. End of 2019 this artists apeared for the very first time on our compilation album 'Batavia's Treasure, Vol. 3' with his track 'That Cut'. From that time we spoke about having his very own EP on Batavia Record and this year it is going to take place.

Therefor we are very honored to welcome again Alvaro Hylander with his exclusive EP for our label by the name 'Azafran' with two absolute belters of tracks.

Track 1 by the name 'Saffron' (Azafran in Spanish) the spice you find in Spanish dish Paella or the Italian dish Rissotto comes from the very colorful Saffron flower which is related to Crocus Sativus, as pictured on the cover of this release. The beautiful purple color fields you find basically in wamer climates are just as magical as our classic ship 'Batavia'. It is not a coincidence stories like this pops up when you hear this jewel of a track. It's fresh, subtile, well balanced, warm, emotional, modern and openminded crafted. Amazing song by Alvaro Hylander and top class for sure.

Track 2 'Conditional State' is a real journey as our ship still makes every month to find the true diamond among the silver. You could say this track is such diamond with his deep pads and chords taking you away in deeper thoughts that contributes on your 'Conditional State' of mind. Especially the breakdown allures you away from the surface right into the deep.
