´Meadows´ is Sommerfeldt and Sigmund Floyds second collaboration on ´Badabing Diskos´, a hypnotizing house track that, allthough inspired by closeness to nature, securely fronts their right of disposal in urban territory.
Sommerfeldt has long been a solid player within the Oslo underground circuit. He previously released as ´Sommerstad´ and ´De Fantastiske To´ on acclaimed labels such as Paper Recordings and Full Pupp and has remixed everyone from Way Out West to late legend Amp Fiddler.
The recognizable vocals of Sigmund Floyd comes from his many album releases with legendary dub disco orchestra ´Palace of Pleasure´ and his more recent housepop band Legz11.
Sommerfeldts second solo EP on badabing still has the minimalistic deep house feel, but with a heavier and more bouncy groove that will shake up any club. A deep rumbling house cut with uplifting repetative synth chords, underlaying soft basslines and most convincing vocal hooks.
`Maedows´ was written during the last days of summer, surrounded by breathtaking scenery in the Norwegian highlands. «Life can sometimes push you off edge and inside the triangle of fear, love and hate. This track is running away from it all and into the Meadows as fast as your legs can carry you. Because occationally, the grass is actually greener.»
´Meadows´ is the perfect reminder that summer is getting closer.
