BADABING DISKOS

The unexplored territory of the Norwegian club scene can make any musical journalist snow blind. The long eccentric country is sprinkled with hidden club gems, from the early sound of arctic electronic disco, to modern small town quirky house beats. The amount of club music produced per capita is for some reason sky high in these northern territories, especially in the darker alleys of Oslo.

Tigertown is a nickname for Oslo, fronted by the late author Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson (directly translated: Bear star Bear son !..), to describe Oslo as a dangerous and merciless capitol, and depicts a fight between a countryside horse and the city tiger! For over 10 years, the badabing collective has been taming the Oslo tiger, hosting hedonistic parties in the capitol. Behind the concept are local names such as Vinny Villbass, Daniel Vaz, Sommerfeldt, Casablanca303 and DiskJokke, fronting their futuristic house music with a touch of analog sounds.

badabing.diskos is their window towards the sunny side of the world, releasing the creativity of the tiger. The label has with its digital and vinyl releases in just 2 years gained massive feedback and recognition from international press and a long list of jocks worldwide.
