Musician and producer Nagarrius hits back on She’s Super Records with the superb Atomic Time which features two excellent tech cuts. This one marks his third outing for us having previously scored great support with the previous releases. The package comes with a superb mix by Scottish musician Psyköhead in his debut on remixing. Were delighted to have him back here at She’s Super and we hope to see more in the future. Atomic Time intros with a very nice thumping low kick drum and shuffling hi hat combi which are soon joined by some nasty work on the synth and bassline that provide a steady rhythmic flow. A shabby synth comes in which sets the mood for the atmospherics to follow their trippy path. Surreal keys and swirling FX boost the hypnotic groove as an amazing subtle bass keeps the low end moving nicely. Top notch stuff not to be missed. On the Rocks offers an analog tech vibe which starts off with a tight low end drum pattern over a floating filtered bass and fx chords. Bright hi hats cut through a sub level bass that adds lush tones to the groove as screeching FX deliver a mesmeric flavour. The break throws up some beautiful weird melodies and fx before we're pulled back into full on mode for the duration. A definite must have for sure. Psyköhead steps up on remix duties, delivering his first remix for the dance floor. Here, he opens the mix with a nice punchy kick drum alongside arpeggiated melodies, shuffling hi hats with mesmerising pad chords. The bass is balanced with Ethically influenced synth riffs while the groove is accented with vintage keys. On the break, we find an infectious vibe which blends effortlessly with the theme of the track adding melody and intrigue into the sound. A top-notch production, this is what progressive and new melodic tech is all about.
