Lonely Instead is a song about the inner turmoil between knowing you should move on from a past relationship and also being completely consumed by that love that it won't allow your heart to let go. We were inspired to write this song as it's a very universal and relatable theme, and that feeling of losing love, especially for the first time in someone's life, can often feel like you will never love again and forever be lonely. Lonely Instead is an anthem not just for anyone going through heartbreak but for people who have been through it previously. We wanted to capture that emotion in a song that speaks to both feelings in very different ways.
