SCARAMOUCHE - INITIUM EP
The debut Scaramouche project, consisting of 4 tracks by Jack and Seb that have been developed throughout this first phase. Maturing their sound and incremental development alongside their performances across the clubs of Liverpool's Docks and Baltic Triangle, (the interruptions of COVID19) Creamfields, branching out across Northern England and with the E.P finished during the Ibiza closing weekend in San Antonio. It is because of the incorporation of their influences and experiences directly in the production of this E.P, that this project represents a true expression of them as artists, both individually and together as Scaramouche
Solar Orbit was written just as the COVID19 lockdowns were easing, a solar orbit since their last event in Liverpool. As the melodic sequences uplift, the rolling groove and breakdowns mirror the hope at the time of lockdown ending.
Deep Space a track composed alongside Solar Orbit, but significantly worked and updated during preparations for Creamfields 25th festival in August 2022, where the track represents a massive moment as was the final piece of the set. This track will always be eternally special to Scaramouche for that reason.
Transcend Infinity is another track that has developed incrementally over time, starting as a hypnotic groove that could transcend the concept of time.
This track was written using out-board sequencers and synthesisers as the basis, and is reflective of the time it was first developed, where following our warm up duties for Amelie Lens, had taken on some darker tones into and evolved industrial influence.
War Cloud was first produced as the invasion of Ukraine by Russia took place in March 2022. Deeply saddened, their project at the time, captured and evolved an emotional response to violence and conflict as the unsettling clouds engulfed the positive spirits of a world still emerging from lockdowns.
