After 8 years in Berlin, dj/producer Gratts now calls South Brighton near Adelaide, Australia home. The Belgian released his first two outings in ‘21 &’22: 'Brighter Future' featured Robert Owens, followed by the 'Music For The Moon Room Gecko' EP.
After more than 20 years of dj'ing, ‘Sun Circles’ perfectly sums up where Gratts is at right now - both in the studio and in the dj-booth: soulful but subtle, balearic but bumpin’. It’s a gentle and jazzy song he penned for his two young sons, Leo & Ziggy, recorded in various studios over the last year and a half, with musicians such as New Zealand-born Nathan Haines, London vocalist Mr Beale, Belgians Jasper Hautekiet, Levi Wynants and Frederik Kuhn. Berlin-based man of the hour Alex Kassian provides a stunning remix. 'Sun Circles' is the inaugural release on Gratts' new label Be Strong Be Free, dedicated to mellow magic sounds.
