Sven Dohse‘s ‚The More EP‘ is an embracing, melancholia-driven bass monster that‘s fresh for 2013 and ready to introduce spring vibes to a cold and hibernal world outside.
This one‘s tailor-made for the so called scene nouveau evolving around locations like Berlin‘s Bar 25, Kater Holzig and more. As an experienced DJ and producer Sven custom made the new release on his own label ‚Prestige Weltweit‘ for the needs of an open minded dancefloor ready for an excessive party.
The title track ‚The More‘ is a true Slow House master piece, coated in warm cajoling bass waves and accompanied by deep, minor vibe piano tones, rich string samples and a sweet pitch-shifted vocal sample that might sound a bit familiar.
Next up ‚Sit On My Joint‘ ups the tempo and provides a very nice bassline that floats on a rather techy vibe alongside some excellent synth work and weird soundclips.
Finally the closing ‚Freetalk‘ deals with dreamy, hypnotic piano melancholia, serving goosebump-inducing chords and spreading everlasting love to top off a solid, partly Dub-influenced Tech-/DeepHouse foundation carressed by Sven Dohse‘s playful trademark bass structures.
