Thomas Gandey first met Maxxi Soundsystem in 2005, when they were both living in Brighton and spending many hours in Tom’s 12a studios. Seeing a budding producer, eager to learn, Thomas shared his vast production and musical knowledge with Maxxi, and the pair began a musical partnership that has been growing ever since. Maxxi and Tom went on to tour Europe as Cagedbaby Live in 2008, before deciding to concentrate on solo projects thereafter.
In recent years Thomas' workload has flipped between his own multiple productions of tech and deep house, film scores, live shows with Radio Slave and collaborating with the likes of Blond:ish on Get Physical. Maxxi, on the other hand, has become one of worlds most celebrated new wave producers, elegantly fusing disco and house in a way that puts him firmly in a league of his own.
But now, 7 years since they first met, these two exceptional talents have reunited - and the results are impeccable.
Tom's haunting vocals lilt alongside Maxxi's throbbing bass in two tracks of futuristic, cinematic, low-slung house music. A future classic.
On the flipside, two equally killer remixes come courtesy of the irrepressible PBR Streetgang (Future Boogie/Hot Creations) and Moda Black label bosses Jaymo & Andy George.
