Originally released at the back end of 2013, the first incarnation of this mighty track featured some very understated vocals... fast forward to 2015 and the track gets a sick revisit, collaborating with the legendary Kermit (Black Grape) and the vocal talents of Omar, arguably the godfather of Neo-Soul.
It's one of those tracks that people always ask to remix... so we thought why not!
Mystic Matt the UK producer behind the Mystical Dubz label, has been releasing since the late 90's. He offers a disco tinged, smooth riding remix that as the titles suggest is "Saxxy AF". The energetic saxophone bursts through at different points in the track with the descending synth melody riding together.
After releasing several times on the Dance Regular imprint, Sheffield producer Xtra Brux was an obvious choice to step up for remix duties. His skippy, 2-step drum programming keeps the whole track shuffling along perfectly. A gurgling and morphing bass-line bounces between the side-chained pads and bubbling synths.
James Rudie, Co-Founder of Dance Regular, contributes a stripped back four to the floor remix. Delicate percussion dances over the round sub bass, leaving plenty of room for Omar's vocals to stand out in the mix.
Reform Radio regular Szajna has had multiple releases on CoOp Presents, Dance Regular, Phuture Shock Music & Eclectic Beats. Thick Sine wave bass & organ tones combine well with natural and loose sounding drums, accentuating the free flowing soulful nature of the track.
