Prolific musical maestros Manu Riga and Phi Phi join forces once again with another sublime effort titled Hypocrisy. The duo is enjoying a string of quality releases including original works and remixes, along with top-notch solo work. Together they boast decades of experience, with Phi Phi brining his wealth of knowledge from the clubs and studio, and Manu Riga utilising his masterful production techniques to carve out some serious grooves for our listening and dancing pleasure. We never tire of their output and we have no doubt there’ll be much more to come.

Hypocrisy opens the release, dishing out a solid, chugging groove over a layer of melodic techno with rave-like plucks adding weight. Nice, chunky beats lead the way as evolving percussion patterns unleash exotic rhythms. On the low-end, a deep, subby bass holds the groove while arpeggiated melodies cascade through the construction. Superb stuff once again, not to be missed. Stage 3 rounds out the release, taking us on a deeper, tougher edge trek into progressive house music. Punchy beats and flickering percussion arrangements lay the foundation for the ride into the depths. Gritty bass stabs and airy pads combine as delicate melodies weave through the groove, resulting in a sublime, hypnotizing experience. A wonderful display of creativity that will not disappoint.
