Carl Waller might be a relative newcomer to production, but in the short space of four releases, he has already carved out a sound that is part deep house, part minimal, but 100% effective for DJs. The hooky-as-hell basslines on tracks like "Bad For Me" and "Complicated" make it easy to see why DJs have taken him out of Beatport's Hype chart and into the main genre charts. His debut for GU was the killer bassline jam "I Like What You Like". Here he teams up with Tom Caruso for a tough deep house jam, the kind of track that is filled with warm pads and delicious vocals but packs heavy enough beats to carry a busy dancefloor.
