Following two previous outings on Black Seven Music - Merseyside’s Copasetic returns to stake his claim with a standout two-track EP. Quickly becoming one of the UK’s most promising underground names, he leaves it all on the table with his ‘Don’t Waste’ EP.

Kicking things off, ‘Don’t Waste’ features a resounding amount of Copasetic’s signature gritty style. Building off rolling grooves and scattered percussion, acid-tinged sub-bass drives the track forwards whilst layers of contrasting harmonic factors dart around the mix. Weighty, assertive and endlessly danceable stuff.

The aptly named ‘Beside’ makes up the other half of the release, featuring more rich analogue sounds. Attitude-laden from the first bar, a hotbed of kicks, claps, hats, percs and bass notes all fly in and out of one another to create a resounding beat structure. This track is all about movement, with sudden introductions of fills, vox chops and individual melodic injections - all adding even more flavour to the melting pot.
