“DNM” is the next in a string of releases by More Time Records from Ghanaian artist, Bryte, an artist that has been making a strong mark in the UK over the last few years gracing the stage most recently at The Jazz Cafe in London & soon to play Trinity Centre in Bristol for another headline show as well as playing plenty of festivals around the UK such as Glastonbury, Love Saves The Day, Eastern Electrics, Boomtown and Maidan Voyage alongside fellow collaborator, Mina.
With Clash Magazine saying Bryte’s multilingual lyrics make for “exuberant, passionate, forward-thinking club music” there’s no doubt blending his vocals with the melodic and bass heavy-sounds of Le Motel, Famous Eno, Halal Dog & The Busy Twist makes for a special album.
With his latest release “My Hood” being praised by Dummy Magazine as a “joyous celebration of the Ghanaian artist’s rise and successes” this next EP keeps up with that same energy.
The first single Amanda, has Bryte’s addictive lyrics gliding over the sinister bass sounds of Brussel’s based producer, Le Motel. On Radio, the EP takes a turn with Sinjin Hawke style vocals over a catchy melody & a bass kick driven drop produced by Famous Eno. The next track, Honda, opens with another infectious melody written by Halal Dog sitting perfectly under Bryte’s powerful vocals. Finally, Good One Deh, brings us straight back to the party on top of one of The Busy Twist’s floor-melting productions.
