Poland's finest battle it out with Jeremy Sylvester!!
Polish label Pierogi Records' second release brings us more sensuous house grooves, this time in the shape of duo Groove Cocktail (DJs Tommy Gustav and Freshmaker) featuring vocals from Berlin-based Pole, Julia Schiffter.
Side A kicks off with the main-room Carribean flavours of Jeremy Sylvester's Socafrica Remix, which just builds and builds and causes all the dancefloor damage we've come to expect from one of the UK's top producers. The original vocal version is all driving congas and rolling bass with the sucker punch of Julia's diva vocals taking the tune to a whole other level towards the end.
Side B ups the funk quota with DJ Haze's infectious Fortune Teller mix stripping the original down, funking it up and throwing in laidback keys and a gypsy woman spoken vocal for good measure. To finish off, Grzesznikovy's lazy, live-sounding remix chills things down very nicely and is destined to be heard in lounges, bars and terraces around the world.
