Prolific London-based DJ/producer/label boss Graeme Sinden and the enigmatic SBTRKT first collaborated on the release that kick-started Grizzly in early 2010, stone cold club monster 'Midnight Marauder'.
February 2011 sees them reunited on 'Seekwal'.
In Sinden's own words:
"The lead track is a 'Seekwal' to the 'Midnight Marauder'. The idea, like the first time around, is to do a 2 tracker in the traditional sense of the classic 12" inch release. One side is for the techno floors - real peak time style - whilst the other is a bit deeper and paddier. Except that didn't really happen this time and they both ended up being peak techno. When Jackmaster (Numbers) said 'Seekwal' "fucking wrecked Berghain last night," we knew we were onto a good thing!
So that's 'Seekwal' then, a party animal of a track, detuned euphoric synths, sub bass and beats - in the crate for the rest of the year. 'Grazed' is the 'B' side that has the 'A' side status, a track that intensifies just a little more after each horn breakdown but still has those deep stepper chords. It's also really effective on the dancefloor. I'm slightly obsessed with the horns!"
