My Other Side of the Moon's November release is a very special one. To begin with, 'Desert' is a first of its kind: an afro-house pearl, both melodic and rhythmic, harmonious and balanced, it will conquer tastemakers from many genres. The original mix is a synthesis of these qualities, coming from the hands, minds and hearts of Davide Ferrario and Dalai, bright musicians. Second, it is special because it summoned all our favorite artists from My Other Side of the Moon and beyond. The afro-king Enoo Napa happily offered us an energetic pure afro-house interpretation you would want to hear in every club you step into. Rhythm 'a la Enoo Napa' is dominant, while the harmony builds up and the break takes the breath away. While the inconfundible voice of Dalai is a constant, Neil Amarey and Breeze and The Sun's remix give Desert their passionate touch, with some delightful guitar melodies and a light afro flair. Last, but not least, Breeze and The Sun and Mike Dem experiment together a deep melodic darker version, a blast of energy with a touching break where choirs and strings develop together to merge into an elegant and powerful ending. Desert is definitely a track that will make the difference in the afro-house scene!
